Putting Feet to our Faith

Hey Reader,

Put Feet to Your Faith: How to Be a Doer of the Word

You know when you've been worrying about something for so long that you finally say, “Okay, enough thinking and fretting about this. I need to do something!”

Maybe you've been praying about something, but you can’t stop feeling fretful over the situation. You've studied what God's Word says about it. You've memorized the Scripture. You've thought about it over and over, but the fretful thoughts keep coming.

There comes a point when faith has to move in and take over. When we put feet to our faith and become DOERS of the Word.

It's time to take what we know from God's Word and put it into action telling our thoughts to “line up with God’s word”.

I've been a little out of pocket lately. But I will try to stay in touch with devotionals like this.

I am at a little of a dilemma. Should I continue with the scripture calendar or is the 30 day List working? I'd love to know your thoughts.

Hey Reader, Trusting God for Direction When You Don’t Know What to Do If you've ever traveled with children, you’ve probably heard that question more than once. Are we there yet? How much longer? But honestly, don’t we sometimes ask God the similar questions? “Am I where I am supposed to be?”“Am I going in the right direction?”“What am I to do next?” We have dreams and places we want to go. But is that where the Lord wants us? Are we in the right job, living in the right city? Who should I...

Hey Reader, Have you ever just had so much going on that you just couldn’t do another thing and the things you were in rhythm to were totally out of sync. I remember a crazy busy season of our pastor's life that on Monday evening (after work at my full time job) I crashed on the couch and said take me away somewhere we don’t have to drive or pack up and repack. No road trip - from hotel to hotel. My next statement was something like, if I wouldn’t need a passport I’d want a cruise. My son...

Jesus sleep in the storm

Hey Reader, I have begun to focus on The LORD our Refuge. That means He is our security, provider, mercy and our peace. After watching so much of the news this summer of all the earthquakes and the big Nepal flood it made me think of this Psalm. Psalm 46 God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.2 Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed,And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;3 Though its waters roar and be troubled,Though the...
