Asking Prayer! (And November Calendar)

Hey Reader,

Have you ever needed help but didn't ask because you thought someone was too busy?

Or have you ever told God all about your troubles but forgot to ask Him for help?

Our November Scripture Calendar is all about ASKING and PRAYING!

James 4 reminds us that sometimes we have not because we ask not. Think about that for a minute!

God invites us to come to Him with our needs. We can pour out our hearts, tell Him what hurts, and even cry a little. Just look at David in the Psalms! But we don't want to stop with our troubles. We need to turn our hearts toward the One who can help us.

We need to ask!

This month, let's focus on knowing who God is, remembering what He has done, and discovering what His Word says about our needs. Then we can ask in faith, trusting His goodness, His love, and His wisdom.

Think about the Canaanite woman in Matthew 15. She came to Jesus desperately asking Him to heal her daughter. She didn't give up when things didn't go the way she expected. She kept asking, and Jesus called her faith great!

What a reminder for us as we pray for the people we love, especially our adult children. Don't stop bringing their needs to the Lord.

So, let's make November a month of asking in faith!

Let's spend this month learning to pray with greater faith and confidence in the God who hears us.

And remember: Don't just whine about it. Ask!

But is that where the Lord wants us? Are we in the right job, living in the right city? Who should I...
